VOORHEESVILLE – Paul A. Caimano, 76, of Voorheesville, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. Paul was born in Albany and was a lifelong resident of the Capital Region. He attended Christian Brothers Academy and, shortly after graduation, enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Paul served proudly as an electronics technician and often shared stories from his time aboard the USS Independence.

A devoted lifelong musician, Paul spent more than five decades sharing his talent and passion with the community, performing in many area bands including Xebec, Adirondack, and Mixed Company. Music was woven through every part of his life, and he passed that love—especially his enthusiasm for the Beatles—on to his children.

Paul worked for New York State for over 30 years, most notably with the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission, and after retiring continued to serve his community as a public safety officer for the University Heights Association for 10 years.

Paul and his beloved wife, Elaine C. (Rosenberg) Caimano, shared 38 years of marriage marked by partnership, humor, music, and unwavering love. Paul was known for his quick wit and remarkable sense of humor; he had impeccable comedic timing and never missed a chance to make someone laugh—whether with a sharp one‑liner or a perfectly delivered dad joke.

Paul is survived by his wife Elaine; his children Trish (Caimano) Robbins (Don Robbins, Jr.) of Delmar, Lauren (Caimano) Nelson (Kevin Fanoe) of Woodstock, GA, Courtney (Caimano) Tackes (Carl Tackes) of Voorheesville, and Christopher Caimano of Voorheesville; his brother Nick Caimano (Barbara Caimano) of Queensbury; and his grandchildren Madison, JD, Nolan, Nash, and Nora.

Calling hours will be held at the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, on Friday from 4–7 p.m., and relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment with military honors will take place at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday, March 16th, at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, 310 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
