ALBANY - Patricia G. Mizener (Travison), beloved aunt and sister, passed into eternal life on January 12, 2026. She was born in Albany on October 9th,1940, to the late Thomas Travison and Mildred Osbenlighter. She was predeceased by her husband, William Mizener, and her beloved brother, Daniel Travison, both of Albany, NY.

Patricia is survived by her brother John Travison and his wife Cheryl, her sister-in-law Lavina Travison, and her nephews and nieces Thomas Travison, Madhabi Mistry, Theresa Travison, Marjorie Travison, Laura Travison, Jennifer Travison, LaDonna Sears, John Travison and James Travison; as well as great nephews and nieces, Albizu, Felix, Juniper, Julia, Rowan, Márquez and Rio.

Patricia was devoted to her family and many friends. She helped raise her nephew and nieces and was like a second mom to them. Pat would cook for friends when they were sick or run errands for those who were shut in. She organized large parties for her retirement community and small card parties for family and friends. She was a highly proficient card player and took great delight in defeating her opponents.

She was the kind of person who would go out of her way to help those in need. She had a rare blood type and she donated so much over the years that she was given an award by the Red Cross.

Patricia also loved wildlife and contributed to any organization that safeguarded their welfare. All of Patricia’s pets over the years were well loved and cared for. She would not only take care of her pets but would care for other people's pets while their owners were away. Animals were drawn to her as they sensed her love and respect for them.

Pat is remembered for many things, including her love of Spring. Her family will hold a celebration of her life on Saturday, April 18, 2026. A funeral mass will take place at 11AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Delaware Avenue in Albany. After the mass, friends and family are invited to join us at Emack and Bolio’s across the street.

Please consider a donation to your local animal shelter in honor of Pat. Patricia’s family wishes to thank the staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center and the Community Hospice for their care and support not only for Pat but for our family as well.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
