Judith "Judy" Carroll

ALBANY - Judith “Judy” Carroll, 79, of Albany, New York, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Albany in 1946 to Dorothy and Daniel Matteo, Judy grew up in a close-knit neighborhood and was adored by her parents. Her warmth and kindness were evident even from a young age.

Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederic Carroll. She is survived by her devoted children, Jennifer Carroll Donlon (Robert Donlon), Brian Carroll (Amanda Ross-Carroll) and Daniel Carroll (Moira Carroll); her grandchildren, Larry Badi, Dylan Badi (Juanita Badi), Brendan Carroll, Maria Badi, Zachary Carroll, and Claire Ross, and her great-grandchildren, Giana and Warren. She was predeceased by her grandson Anthony Frederic Badi. 

Judy’s love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren.Judy worked for many years as a secretary at Albany City Hall, where she was known for her dedication and cheerful spirit. She loved the beach and treasured her family’s frequent vacations to Maine. A woman of many talents, Judy had a natural gift for painting, a flair for fashion, and never met a crossword puzzle she couldn’t conquer. Known for her gentle nature and sweet demeanor, Judy was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, whose lives were brightened by her presence.
