GUILDERLAND - Gerald “Jerry” O’Connor Carberry, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Jerry was married to the love of his life, Beverly Culm Carberry, for over 68 wonderful years. Together, they built a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion that inspired all who knew him. After attending Erie County Technical College, where he earned an Associate Degree in Engineering, Jerry began a long and dedicated career with Addressograph-Multigraph, where he worked for 41 years. His work ethic, ingenuity, and quiet leadership earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

A proud member of his community, Jerry devoted more than 60 years to the fire service as a volunteer firefighter, serving in numerous roles including Fire Chief, Commissioner, and as a longtime member of the Rescue Squad. His courage, commitment, and selflessness left an enduring mark on all those he served alongside.

Above all, Jerry will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his kind heart, his steadfast dedication to helping others, and for being a longtime Buffalo Bills fan.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Beverly Carberry; his children Kathy Dillon (Jeffery) of Rochester, Colleen Moller (Jeff) of Delanson, Peggy Brosnan (Tim Vedder) of Guilderland, Mary Moller of Guilderland; and by twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick Carberry and daughter Linda Carberry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Guilderland on Wednesday, November 12th, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and my call at the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany Wednesday morning before the mass from 9-10 a.m. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
