Oh Uncle Vic! You were such a big part of my life. I always loved that gentle way about you. You lived your life the way you wanted and it was so simple. We should all take notes on that. You don’t need material things to make you happy. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest easy.. and say hi to my parents up there in heaven.

Uncle Vic. You were a very special member of our family. Always appreciated for your unique ways of living and looking at the world. Learned so much from you about what is really important, geometry, gardening, and how to do a one-legged squat. Thank you for always understanding us kids and for showing me so much about life. I will miss you so much. Love you.

Arriving at any family gathering, my first question was always “Is Uncle Vic here?”
You’ve always been so special to all of us. So unique, easy going, loving, interesting, and interested. Never weighed down by the clutter of life, going with the breeze.
I’m pretty sure that each of us would consider ourself your favorite, because you always treated each of us like we were your favorite.
So now, as it’s always been, I’ll see you when I see you.
Love you forever,
Your Favorite

So sorry for your loss, we have very fond memories of Vic since his time living by Thompson’s Lake and that area. He was a very kind, sweet man, who we enjoyed visiting with. He will be missed.

Hello,
I connected with Victor in Albany about 40 years ago; he worked for me as a handyman at various times in Albany, Delmar and Northampton MA; it seemed like he could do almost anything that was needed. We kept in touch even after I moved to MA. He was always such good company and had so much interest in so many aspects of life. I will miss him.

Victor was very special to me, we connected the first time someone brought me up to his camp. He was so interested in people, you and your family and your ideas. He liked to talk about art and abstract things like vibrations and frequencies and the artist’s gaze. He never minded me bringing new people to his camp or when they showed up without me and he hadn’t even met them yet! He was always ready to go make some really strong coffee for you. There was no way to reach him so it always always a treat to find him home or run into him once at the co-op. I’m sorry I never got the chance to take him to see the impressionists at the Clark like he asked me to one time. The last time I saw him someone gave me the head’s up he was at the old farmhouse nearby. I hope the stray cat he had for a while is cared for or free, however he would have liked. It was so kind of the landowner to give Victor the space and time to live as he wished, and keep an eye on him. I hope Victor was able to study and interact in some way with his caretakers at the nursing home during his time there. My love to his family, you had a true original! Please contact me if you would like 3 nice photos I have of him.
