ALBANY – Veronica “Ronnie” Carney of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.  Ronnie was born in Albany, and lived here all her life.  She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, and was employed by the State of New York for many years.  She was a communicant of the former Holy Cross Church in Albany, and was a member of the church seniors.  She also was a member and officer of the Friends Group.  Some of Ronnie’s favorite activities were shopping and monthly luncheons with her V.I. classmates.

Ronnie was predeceased by her parents Martin L. Carney and Lillian E. Gannon Carney.  She is survived by her sister Mary E. Carney of Albany; her brother James J. Carney (Mary Lou) of Hagaman; her nieces Stephanie Carney Manske (Jason), Tricia Carney, and Elise Carney; and her great nephew and niece Nicholas Carney Manske, and Sydney Carney Manske.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS).  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the church Saturday morning beginning at 8:00 am.  Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.  The family suggests memorial contributions to All Saints Catholic Academy, 10 Rosemont St., Albany, NY 12203.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
