ALBANY – Theresa A. Dobiel Pipe, 83, of Albany, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Theresa was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Michael Dobiel and Kathryne Bozek Dobiel. She lived here all her life, and was a graduate of St. Casimir’s Grade School, and Albany High Shool. She was employed for many years by the New York Telephone Co., and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a communicant of the former Holy Cross Church and of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially to Poland to pursue her interests in her ancestors. Theresa is survived by her sister in law Barbara Dobiel of East Greenbush; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Casimir, Paul, Michael and John Dobiel; and by her sisters Mary Kelly, Pauline Herrick, and Dorothy Olthoff. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 8:15, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
