We send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Sandy and Olivia on the loss of Shawn. We met Shawn several times at get-togethers at Michael’s home. He impressed us as a very nice person who cared about his family. Michael has told us of Shawn’s incredible courage during his illness. May your family take great comfort in knowing that Shawn is now at peace.
Special thoughts to our good friends Michael, Colleen, and Chloe on the loss of Shawn. They are such kind and generous people who should not have to go through such tough challenges.
And, of course, we have not forgotten about Grannie Annie. May the Lord protect her and guide her as she accepts one of life’s greatest challenges.
Our prayers are with the entire Barber family. God bless!

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. I very much enjoyed working with Shawn at MapInfo. He was always a pleasure to work with, had a great sense of humor, and always willing and able to get things done.
He was one of those men who carried themselves with dignity and a sense of humility in all phases of his life. I very much respect and admire that memory of him.
He will be deeply missed and we will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

For 28 years you’ve been a best friend, Best Man, Godfather, and moral compass. I’ve heard it said that our pain only serves to remind us just what kind of great person you were. Thanks again for all have given to us. Gone too soon, but you will live in our hearts forever.

Though I sit here with a heavy heart on one of the saddest days of my life, the thoughts expressed by all of our brother’s friends, family and work colleagues allowed us to smile and remember Shawn as he was. Thanks to all of the old St. Margaret Mary neighborhood friends who stopped to talk to us, some who we had not seen in 40 years! Thanks to all Shawn’s co-workers at Treo Solutions, MAPINFO and his other employments who shared their memories with us. Thanks to “The Neighborhood” (you all know who you are) for the extraordinary things you did to help Sandy and our family through this difficult time. To all Shawn’s friends and our family friends who have expressed their thoughts to us in so many ways, we thank you! Thanks to my wife Sandy, my sisters – in – law Lisa, Colleen and Trish for being me and my brother’s best friends. Thanks to all the “nieces and nephews who came up big in so many ways, sometimes with just a quick hug and a smile. Uncle Shawn would have been so proud of all you guys. We miss you Shawn Patrick, but I know you are smiling knowing that amongst the tears there were a lot of smiles and some laughs. It’s just the way you would have wanted it bro!.

Sandy, I just heard of Shawns’ passing and I am so sorry for your loss. The two of you were 2 peas in a pod. May all of the good times be held close to your heart for warm memories, may a sudden breeze let you know that Shawn is near, or a scent in the air. He will for sure be watching over you and Olivia as he sits in heaven above. My prayers go out to you.
