Ruth A. Wolfe

ALBANY – Ruth A. Wolfe, 98, of Albany, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.  Ruth was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Jacob C. and Anna Kolb Reinemann.  She lived in Albany all her life, and was employed by the Embossing Company, and by Tobin Packing Co.  She enjoyed spending summers at her family camp on Sacandaga Lake, and enjoyed traveling with the Guilderland Seniors and others.  She enjoyed visits to the Holy Land, Greece, Hawaii, and Florida.  She also was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Raymond F. Wolfe, Sr.  She is survived by her son Raymond F. Wolfe, Jr. (Veronica) of North Bethlehem; her daughter Diane R. Sokal (James) of Buckeye, AZ; her grandchildren Sandra R. Wolfe Hulbert, and Christina R. Wolfe.  She was predeceased by her siblings Edna Hood, Jessie Edwards, and Jacob Reinemann.

Ruth’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center for the wonderful care they provided to Ruth.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday morning at 9:00 am.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 63 Mountain View Ave, Albany, NY 12205; or to The Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, NY 12144.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
