
LATHAM – Rose Marie (McDermott) Oleyourryk, 82 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 27, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fulton, NY on February 13, 1934, the only daughter of Loretta McDermott. Rose (Mickey) was educated in Fulton schools. She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Jack Oleyourryk. A dedicated housewife, mother and grandmother, Rose had also worked as a school bus driver for the North Colonie School District.
In addition to her beloved husband, Rose is survived by her children, Jacqueline (Richard) Miller, Susan (David) Ira and Robert (Carolyn) Oleyourryk. She was predeceased by a son, Dennis who died in infancy. Rose is the cherished grandmother of Ashley and Derek Miller, Christopher and Bryan (Devin) Ira and Matthew and Patrick Oleyourryk. She is also survived by six grand dogs and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Memorial Mass on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Ambrose Church, Latham. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice, at The Community Hospice Foundation, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
