
ALBANY – Rosaria “Sara” Schepisi, 87, died after a brief illness at Hospice Inn on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Rosaria was born in San Piero Patti, Sicily, on November, 18, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Marrello. Family was most important to Rosaria. Her granddaughter and her great- granddaughters were the flowers of her garden and the lights of her life. Rosaria was a homemaker and for a brief time a seamstress. She always filled her home with love and food. You never left her home hungry. She loved her family and friends.
Rosaria was predeceased by her husband, Antonino, who died in 2007. She is survived by her children, John Schepisi and his wife MaryAnn, and Concetta Keane and her husband Sean; her granddaughter, Jennifer Dahlberg and her husband Chris and their children, Maci Nicole and Kaylin Michelle ; her step-grandson, Michael Tremblay Sr. and his children, Alaina M. and Michael R. Jr.; her siblings, the late Dominick, survived by Anthony and Delores Marrello, Tindaro (Danny) and Cathy Marrello, Maria LoPresti and Giuseppina DiSanto. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and couins here and in Italy.
Funeral services Tuesday, August 4, at 8:15 a.m. at Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, followed at 9 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, from 4- 7 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Rosaria be made to the Community Hospice Inn of Albany, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. Rosaria’s family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the Hospice Inn nurses and staff for their kindness, help and support during this special time.
