
ALBANY – Rachel Ellen Pogoda, 31, of Albany, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2022. Rachel was born in Albany, and lived here all her life. She attended Guilderland High School, and was employed by SMPR Title Agency. Rachel was devoted to her daughter Ivy, and was also a lover of animals, especially pit bulls.
Rachel is survived by her daughter Ivy Ellen Tallman; her parents Virginia E. Ford Pogoda and Joseph E. Pogoda, Sr. of Albany; her brother Joseph E. Pogoda, Jr. of Albany; her grandfather Everett G. Ford. Sr. and by several aunts, uncles, and cousins; she was predeceased by her loving Maternal grandmother Katherine E. Burnett and her paternal grandparents Walter S. Pogoda, Jr. (Constance) and Joyce F. Wall.
Calling hours will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Friday from 4-7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Services and interment will be held privately.
