R. Jeanne “Jeannie” Troidle

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Ruth Jeanne “Jeannie” (Noonan) Troidle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Community Hospice (Bailey Center) in St. Augustine. Jeannie was born in Troy, N.Y., to the late Edward F. and Lillian F. Noonan. She attended Vincentian School and graduated from Kenwood Sacred Heart Academy in Albany, N.Y. She moved from Albany to St. Augustine in 1999, and was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Jeannie loved to travel and took trips to Europe, Hawaii and enjoyed cruises throughout the world to places including the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. From 1974 through 1994 she and her husband would travel to Acapulco, Mexico, where she made many friends. While living in Albany, she took great joy in caring for Adam Penrose, son of her long time friend and neighbor, Marsha Penrose. After moving to St. Augustine she continued her travels with her dear friend Jim McLean. She also took many road trips in the United States with her close friends Michael and Mary Wynn. Jeannie’s constant smile and outgoing nature brought out the best in everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband J. Griffith Troidle. She is survived by her sister, Marion Noonan Norris, of Houston, Texas, and her nephews, David I. Corbut, Jr., Md., and wife, Mary Evers, D.O., of Liberty Hill, Texas, and Stephen A. Corbut and wife, Ann C. Corbut, of Bellaire, Texas. She is also survived by grand nephews and nieces, Sean Corbut, Lauren Corbut, Zachary Corbut, Dakota Corbut and Madison Corbut.

Funeral services will be held on August 24, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Hans Funeral Home in Albany, to be followed by the interment at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, N.Y. A Mass dedicated to Jeannie will be held at St. Anastasia  Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Florida, at a later date at a time to be announced.
