NISKAYUNA – Qiang “Alex” Fang, 49, of Niskayuna, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. Alex was born in the Jilin Province of China, and emigrated to the United States in 2013. He was a graduate of the University at Albany with a Masters Degree in Mathematics and Statistics, and was employed by MVP Health Care as a Data Analyst.
Alex is survived by his beloved wife Guannan Ren; his son Alexander Ren Fang; his parents Yunchang Fang and Guiping Lin Fang of China; and his brother Hui Fang (Jing Chen) of China.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Albany, 901 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12208. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no public calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.
