Peter J. Andres

ALBANY – Peter J. Andres, 84, of Albany, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.  Mr. Andres was born in Albany and lived here all his life.  He was employed for many years by the D&H Railroad in Albany, and he was a 1968 graduate of Siena College.  He lived with his sister Catherine Andres for many years, and enjoyed helping her with gardening and cooking.  He was a devout Catholic, and a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany.  He also enjoyed bird watching, and was a great conversationalist.

Mr. Andres was predeceased by his parents Harry J. and Catherine Dunn Andres; and by his brother Harry J. Andres; his sister Catherine Andres; and his nephew Paul Andres.  He is survived by his sister in law Rose M. Andres of Bethlehem; his nephew John Andres of Houston, TX; his niece Ellen M. Bardelli (Ed) of Bethlehem; his good friend Dave Hennessey of Schodack; and by one great niece and five great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany.  Relatives and friends are invited.  There will be no calling hours.  Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or send a sympathy card, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
