Patty Joe will be sadly missed by her wider family here in Ireland who enjoyed her frequent trips, splendid personality, storytelling, and musical skills. We didn’t see or hear enough of her take on life, and that’s our loss. Rest in peace dear cousin, and tell Aunt Ellen, all the gang, I send my love.

The door to the Cohen home was always open. I can remember many happy visits around Patty Jo and Bill’s dinning room table on Kent Street. The coffee was usually on and Pat was there to listen and relate to what was happening in our lives. I will treasure the memory of Pat’s beautiful voice that I first experienced in 1964 during the production of “The Boy Friend”, her compassion and empathy for everyone who brought their woes to her and her love for her family and friends. Most of all, I am so grateful for the 50+ years of our friendship that started in community theater and ended at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Pat gave all of us some great laughs through the years and that is what I’ll remember. My condolences to Bill, Keith, Charlie and the all of the MacGowan/ Cohen family.
