Tyler J. Heiserman

GUILDERLAND – Tyler J. “Tip” Heiserman, 30, of Guilderland, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at his home.  Tyler was born in Albany, and lived all his life in Guilderland.  He was a graduate of Guilderland High School and Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Human Services, and he was employed by the University at Albany Grounds Dept. and also by New Visions.  Tyler loved his family, and he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and golf.  He also was known for his powerful writing and for the amazing artwork he created.  He was a tireless advocate for the homeless and the mentally ill.  Tyler loved to start every day with a ride in his big white Lincoln with his beloved dog Sally to get a Frappuccino from Starbucks.

Tyler is survived by his parents James J. and Denise Blanchette Heiserman of Guilderland; his sisters Gretchen Lee Graydon (Mark) of Albany, and Brittany Lynn Heiserman of Guilderland; his grandparents Susan Heiserman of Albany, and Al and Jeanette Blanchette of Albany; his twin nephews Charlie & Leo Graydon; his aunts and uncles Nancy Bombard (Bob), Judy Trichilo, Regina Burby (Mark), Timothy Blanchette (Kathy), Billy Heiserman (Sandy), Michael Hieserman (Taffela), and Robbie Heiserman (Jeanne); and by many cousins and friends.  Tyler was predeceased by his grandfather William T. Heiserman, and his uncle Alan P. Blanchette.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Friday morning at 8:15, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany at 9:00.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 pm.  In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Homeless Action Committee, 393 North Pearl St, Albany, NY 12207.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
