ALBANY – Richard J. Casaly, 68, of Latham, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Mr. Casaly was born in Natick, MA, but lived most of his life in Albany. He served in the U.S. Navy for ten years, and was a Chief aboard the USS Enterprise. He was then employed by the New York State Office of General Services until his retirement in 1995.
Mr. Casaly is survived by his daughters Susan J. Fraser (Todd) of Charles Town, WV, and Christine C. Gray (Henry) of Glen Allen, VA; his former wife Linda Hoyt Casaly of Ballston Spa; his brothers Gary Casaly (Barbara) of Canton, MA, and John Casaly (Louise) of New York City; and by his grandchildren Ashton Fraser, Anna Gray and Evan Gray.
Committal services will be held at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville on Tuesday at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albany Medical College Scholarship Foundation, 43 New Scotland Ave., MC-119, Albany, NY 12208.
