Paul F. Pezzolla

ALBANY – Paul F. Pezzolla, 69, of Albany passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 17, 2023 after a long illness. Paul was born in Albany on January 6, 1954 , son of the late Francis P. Pezzolla Jr. and Marcia V. Fish Pezzolla. Paul resided in Albany and East Greenbush all of his life and was a graduate of Guilderland High School class of 1972. He started his career as a truck driver with the Teamsters working for various  companies. He retired from the Albany International Airport, as a Jet Bridge Mechanic. His greatest joy was spending time with family and long-time friends. His love and pride for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew no bounds. Paul enjoyed fishing, hunting , classic cars and a “good fishing story”.

Paul is survived by his children, Shannon E. Pezzolla of Delmar, Paul F. Pezzolla Jr. of Westerlo, and Nicholas A. Pezzolla (Tracey) of East Greenbush; his grandchildren Leah DiPisa, Victoria Sweetman(Austin) and Salvatore Pezzolla; his great grandchildren Isabella and Theodore Sweetman. He is also survived by his brothers, Peter Pezzolla(Sue) of Albany and Stephen Pezzolla (Lisa) of Knox and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7p.m.  Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Paul’s family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Paul’s favorite charity.
