GUILDERLAND – Mariam H. Partell, 90, of Albany, died Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Westmere Home for Adults. Mariam was born in Albany and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of the Mildred Elley Business School, and was employed for many years by the New York State Dept. of Audit and Control working on the New York State Retirement System. She was a communicant of the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church for many years. She also enjoyed bowling with the Latham Senior Citizens.
Mariam is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Edmund F. Partell; her nephew Raymond F. Fletcher of Altamont; her nieces Nancy Studer of Switzerland, and Mary Lynne Van Waldick of Rome, NY; seven grand nieces and many great grand nieces and nephews.
For almost four years, Mariam was a resident of the Westmere Home for Adults where she received the finest of care. Mariam’s family would like to express their gratitude to all of the wonderful staff who loved Mariam and treated her as family.
There will be no calling hours and services will be private. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110-4799. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.
