ALBANY – Margaret H. Snyder died Saturday, October 15, 2016 in her ninety-sixth year. A graduate of The Shippen School in Lancaster and Bradford College, she married her husband Willis E. Snyder (deceased) in 1940. They moved to Albany shortly after he was discharged from the service at the end of World War II. Margaret was an accomplished artist and many of her paintings were displayed or sold through the Albany Institute of Art’s Sales/Rental Gallery. She was also a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
Margaret is survived by her son Philip, husband of Kluane, of Lititz, PA, and daughter Elizabeth of Cranston, RI; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Andrew and Alan; and three great-grandchildren, Owen, Easton, and William. She was the eldest sibling of Florence W. and H. Stanley Harner of Lancaster, PA. A service celebrating her life will be held at 2pm., Saturday, Oct. 22nd., at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, corner of North Main and Madison Ave., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited.
