Lucy T. Mccall

ALBANY – Lucy T. McCall of Albany, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.  Lucy was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Frank Campione and Frances Pazienza Campione.  She lived in the area all her life, graduating from St. John’s High School in Albany’s South End.  She was employed as a school aide at Public School 26 in Albany for many years, and was a member of the board of directors of the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center.  She enjoyed baking and cooking, to the delight of her family and friends.

Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis J. “Joe” McCall, Sr.  She is survived by her children Francis J. “Joe” McCall, Jr. (Diane) of Albany, Bernard McCall (Linda) of Selkirk, Eileen Bestercy (John) of Colonie, and Angela D. McCall of Albany;  her grandchildren Francis J. “Joey” McCall, III (Pam), Denise Ketzer (Robby), Lance McCall, Kimberly Bernard (Keith), Bernard McCall, Jr. (Katie Hohman), Ryan McCall, Allison Lucy Abbott (Stephen), and Cary Bestercy; her great grandchildren Jade Rodriguez, Savannah Rodriguez, and Sofia McCall; and by many nieces and nephews and several close friends.  She was predeceased by her siblings Vito Campione, Angelina Thomasone, Louis Campione, Rose Picard, James Campione, Mary Mehalick, Nicholas Campione, Elvira “Alice” Campione, Ann Bellaire, Carmella Duker, and Dominick Campione.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 8:15, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS) at 9:00.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.  The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
