Kathleen P. Farrell

COLONIE – Kathleen P. Farrell, 78, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017.  Kathleen was born in Manhattan, NY, and was raised there and in the Bronx.  She moved to the Albany area over 40 years ago.  She was a graduate of Mount St. Vincent College, and was employed for most of her career by the New York State Dept. of Labor.  Kathleen enjoyed traveling overseas.  Having never felt the need to have a driver license, in her long career with the State of New York she always traveled on state business via bus, train, and cab.

Kathleen is survived by her brothers Brother John Farrell, FSC of Colonie, James Farrell of Conway, SC, and Gene Farrell (Tamie) of Sparta, NJ. She was predeceased by her parents John Farrell and Anne Comiskey Farrell, and by her brother Brother Michael Farrell, FSC.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Friday morning at 9:00, and from there to Christ the King Church at 10:00.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 p.m. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather in the funeral home at 4:30 pm Thursday for a service of prayer and remembrance.  All are welcome.   Interment will be in St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx at 2:30 pm on Friday.
