James H. Lee

GUILDERLAND – James H. Lee, 86, of Guilderland, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Stratton VA Medical Center.  Known as Lee to everyone, he was born in Albany, the son of the late Harold C. Lee and Barbara Vogel Lee.  He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years, and was employed by the Central Warehouse and later the Shoemaker Paper Co.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and was a member of the Guilderland Elks and the American Legion.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife Catherine Goodrich Lee; his children Michael Lee (Deborah), Cynthia Tremonti (Lawrence), James Lee (Laureen), and Jennifer Nichols (David); and by his grandchildren Laura, Taylor, Deanna, and Alec.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Stratton VA Medical Center for the wonderful care they provided Lee during his stay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 28^th, at 9:00 am in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS).  Interment will follow in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.  Relatives and friends are invited.  There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Fisher House, 113 Holland Ave, Albany, NY 12208.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
