Antonia “Toni” M. Mccarthy

ALBANY – Antonia “Toni” M. Lockman McCarthy, 75, of Albany, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.  Antonia was born in Albany, the daughter of the late James and L. Dorothy Walsh Lockman.  She lived in Albany all her life, was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, and was employed for many years by the Albany Water Dept.  She enjoyed traveling and reading, visits to the library with her late sister, lunch with her family each week, laughing, and time spent with her gang of girlfriends.

Antonia is survived by her children Colleen A. McCarthy of Albany, Michael J. McCarthy of Clifton Park, and Timothy P. McCarthy (Susan) of Albany; her brother David “Jerry” Lockman (Vicky) of Albany; her brother in law Richard P. Kelly of Albany; three grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.  She was predeceased by her sister Judith Kelly, and her brother James Lockman.

The family of  Antonia wishes to express its grateful appreciation to the staff of the Hospice Inn of Albany for their care and support during Toni’s final life journey.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory will be gratefully accepted by the Hospice Inn of Albany, 315 S Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the Historic Church of St. Mary on Capitol Hill, Lodge & Pine Streets, Albany, Saturday, morning, July 12th at 10:00 am.  Relatives and friends are invited.  There will be no calling hours.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
