
ALBANY – Maureen V. Pellegrino, 83, of Albany, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Mrs. Pellegrino was born in the Bronx, and lived for many years in Long Island before moving to Albany about two years ago. She was employed for many years by Sears in Rockville Center, NY. She also served as a volunteer for 10 years at the Central American Refugee Center (CARECEN), and managed the food pantry at St. Anthony’s Church in Oceanside.
Mrs. Pellegrino was predeceased by her husband John J. Pellegrino. She is survived by her daughter Paula Pellegrino and her husband Richard Aichelmann; her daughter Robin Pellegrino of Colonie; and her granddaughter Paloma Pellegrino.
The Pellegrino family would like to thank all of the caregivers who took such wonderful care of Mrs. Pellegrino in her illness, truly treating her as their own mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:30am in All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
