ALBANY –  Mary Rose Elia, 95, of Albany, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.  Mrs. Elia was born in Albany and lived here all her life.  She was employed for a time by J. DeBeer & Sons in Albany, and for many years by the John G. Myers and Flah’s department stores.  She was a communicant of the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Albany.

Mrs. Elia was predeceased by her husband Nicholas J. Elia, Sr. in 1995.  She is survived by her sons Nicholas J. Elia, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Johnstown, and Ross Elia and his wife Cindy of Albany; her daughter Patricia E. Conley of Rensselaer; her brother Benny Ravida; her sister in law Kay Ravida; her grandchildren Ross, Adam, Tisha, Alana, Nicholas, Jennifer, Stephen, Brian and Kellie; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Anthony, Tindora and Joseph Ravida, Angeline Siino, and Nancy Mannolini.

The Elia family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Eddy Village Green Building 12, and Community Hospice of Rensselaer for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. Elia.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Monday morning at 9:45, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s Church), Homestead St., Albany at 10:30.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Sunday from 3-7 p.m.  Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
