ALBANY – Mary P. Horick, 92, of Albany, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at her home.  Mrs. Horick was born in Albany and lived here all her life.  She was employed by a laundry service, and during World War II by the General Electric Co.  After the war she was employed by the Montgomery Ward department store for 35 years.  She was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church and the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church.

Mrs. Horick was predeceased by her husband John V. Horick in 1998.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Jerry McGee, Vickie Taylor, Kim McGee, Cindy Dinardi, and Timothy McGee and Sandy Fuller, who also were her beloved caregivers.  She was also predeceased by her sisters Genevieve Galka, Helen Parker, and Regina McGee; her brother Raymond Tomlinson, and her nephews Timothy and Gregory McGee.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Tuesday morning at 8:45 and from there to All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s Church), Homestead St., Albany at 9:30.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 p.m.  Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, send a sympathy card, or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com .
