
ALBANY – Marjorie T. Rogan Maney of Albany, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2015 in the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Marjorie was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Hon. Edward G. Rogan and Margaret Shafer Rogan. She lived here all her life, and was a graduate of the Kenwood Academy of the Sacred Heart, and the College of St. Rose. She taught fourth grade for several years at School 16 in Albany. She also was an active volunteer as a member of the Ladies of Charity, the Kenwood Braille Association, and the Albany Beautification Committee. She was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany, where she was a daily communicant and an active volunteer.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Stephen A. Maney, Esq., in 1993. She is survived by her daughters Rosemarie A. Zervas (Robert) of City Island, Madeleine Maney Kennedy (Daniel) of Albany, Margaret L. Maney (Scott Hughes) of Plattsburgh, Christine M. Cordova (Robert) of St. Louis, MO, and Julie P. Windzio (Heinz) of Bolton, MA; her sister Rosanne Roach (F. Thomas) of Menands; her sister in law Sr. Mary E. Maney, RDC, of White Plains; her grandchildren Joseph, Theresa, and Anne Kennedy, Henry, Charlotte, and Elizabeth Cordova, and Nora and Faith Windzio; and by many nieces and nephews and their families, and by many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Saturday morning at 8:00am, and from there to Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Ave., Albany at 9:00am. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 pm. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206.
