GUILDERLAND – Margaret W. Cenci, age 94, died May 2, 2017 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she had lived since November 2016.   Mrs. Cenci, daughter of Anna S. Williams, was born in Albany, New York on October 17, 1922.  She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.  She was married to the late John J. Cenci for forty-three years during which they had four children and lived in Terre Haute, Indiana and Erie Pennsylvania before returning to the Albany area in 1958.  She was a longtime member of the Albany Country Club and enjoyed golf, gardening club, bridge, traveling, spending winters in Vero Beach Florida and sailing in the summer on Lake George with her late husband.  Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Cenci is survived by her children Eileen Cenci Carey and her husband Sheridan Carey of Hyannis, Massachusetts, Janice Cenci of Chapel Hill North Carolina, Mark Cenci and his fiancée Regina Krause of North Yarmouth Maine, and Anne Cenci Stuto and her husband Timothy Stuto of Albany, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mark Carey of Brooklyn, New York, Leigh Carey of Washington D.C., Victoria Stuto Urvalek and her husband Michael Urvalek of Saratoga Springs, New York, John Stuto and Samantha Stuto of Albany, New York and Regina Krause’s daughters Breanna Harmer of Missoula, Montana and Lauren Burrell of North Yarmouth, Maine. In addition, Mrs. Cenci is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany on Monday May 22, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie, New York.
