
GUILDERLAND – M. Jeannine Ryan, 92, of Guilderland, died peacefully Saturday, July 10, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lockport, New York, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Raymond G. Laport and Margaret Ann Hartsock Laport. She was a graduate of Niagara University and was a registered nurse. After raising her seven children, she entered the workforce and was employed at Albany Medical Center Hospital and thereafter at Dr. Roy Fruiterman’s office in Delmar, New York. In addition, she was a volunteer at Birthright and Community Hospice and was a member of the National Right to Life Committee. She taught religious education at Christ the King Church in Guilderland and was a member of the church choir. Most recently, she was a parishioner at Historic St. Mary’s Church, where she served as a church volunteer. Jeannine also enjoyed music and singing and was a member of Capitaland Chorus/Sweet Adelines and was an accomplished piano player and gardener. She loved to dance.
Jeannine was predeceased by her husband, James F. Ryan in 1995. She is survived by her children Margaret Ann Marinow (Harry) Fallbrook, California, Patricia Diane Coleman (Frank) of Syracuse, Michael J. Ryan (Laurie) of Clifton Park, Sharon Catherine Riedy (Michael) of Colonie, Carol Ann Pezze (Daniel) of Loudonville, Maureen Frances Ryan of Guilderland and Anne M. Parente (Clemente) of Slingerlands. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and the last of her four Golden Retrievers, Seamus. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond and Robert Laport.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. and from there to Historic St. Mary’s Church, Pine & Lodge Streets, Albany, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
