I was thinking of Mrs. Deso just the other day. I remember her as being very, very kind to my mother, Lorraine, when the Deso’s lived next door to us on Jasper Court in Norfolk. Mrs. Deso also frequently invited me to her kitchen table when she had made a treat for her sons. My dad and Mr. Deso would often kid each other about who had the most beautiful Bermuda grass in their yards and one weekend they both travelled together to retrieve some crepe myrtle trees for replanting in our yards that the City of Norfolk was removing to make a road wider; I remember that they spent all day replanting those trees. The Deso’s were just wonderful people. I will keep both Mr. and Mrs. Deso in my prayers, but I know they are now healthy, happy and at peace. I’m sure my mother and dad are very happy to see them, as well! Prayers for all of them until we meet again…
