Linda M. Waddington

September 23, 2016 By Hans Funeral Home Leave A Condolence

Linda

ROTTERDAM – Linda M. Waddington, 75, of Rotterdam passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016. A lifelong resident of the Schenectady area she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Joseph Buechler. Linda was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and Schenectady County Community College. She worked for SUNY Central Administration from which she retired. She later volunteered at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center. Linda was also an active advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association. She thoroughly dedicated herself to helping their cause as she was the primary caregiver for her husband for several years. She was an active member of the Salvation Army where she fully participated in many ministries and was a greeter and member of the chorus. As evidenced by her everyday life, she was a woman of great faith. Linda was a kind, caring person and gave a lot of herself to others. She enjoyed scrapbooking, stamping, gardening, cooking, and maintaining her beautiful home.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 38 years, Frank; her daughter, Annette (Brian) Jordan; and her granddaughter Alisha Jordan. Linda is also survived by her brother David (Rosemary) Buechler, her sisters Jeanne Rando, Barbara Cooper, and Bernice (Norman) Parks, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Bethka and her brother Joseph Buechler. Linda had many friends who were very close to her heart and she will be greatly missed by all.

Relatives and friends may call from 1:30 to 2 pm Sunday September 25th, 2016 at The Salvation Army Citadel, 222 Lafayette St., Schenectady. A service will follow at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s name are requested to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205.
