GUILDERLAND – Lillian T. Nichols, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021.  She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. Lillian was born on April 22nd, 1934 in Albany to the late Anthony and Lillian Iannelli.  She lived in Albany and the Town of Guilderland all her life and was employed for many years by the State University of New York at Albany.  She was involved in several organizations with her husband, most notably the Italian American Community Center, and the Albany Elks BPOE Lodge 49. She was a longtime communicant of the former Church of St. Margaret Mary and All Saints Catholic Church. She was an active member in St. Margaret Mary’s senior citizens group.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband Robert D. Nichols, Sr. in 2011.  She is survived by her devoted children Robert D. Nichols, Jr. (Theresa), Elaine T. Warfield (Buck-deceased), Anthony M. Nichols, David J. Nichols (Jennifer), Kathleen M. Rizzicone (John), and Matthew T. Nichols (Rosemarie); and her adoring grandchildren Harley, Michael, William, Kathleen (Brady), Kelly, Danielle, Kristen, Gianna, and Lucas.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  There will be no calling hours.  Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or Community Hospice.
