WEST SAND LAKE – Kimberly Rose Rifenberick passed away on July 8, 2016 surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Kim was born in West Sand Lake on September 7, 1976 to George and Ruth Rose. Kim attended and later became a long time cheerleading coach in the Averill Park Central School District. She took great pride in watching her daughters cheer and quickly became a “cheer mom” to many. Kim had a kind heart and was always there for everyone in their time of need. She was generous beyond belief, giving to anyone in need without question. In true Kim fashion, right to the end, Kim was more concerned about how those closest to her were handling her illness instead of herself. Kim’s greatest passion and treasurers in life were her children. She was so proud of their accomplishments and was their biggest supporter.
Predeceased by her father George Rose, Kim is survived by her husband Craig, her daughters Jordain and Hannah and her son Craig Jr. She is survived by her best friend and mother Ruth Rose, siblings George Jr. (Stacey) and Scott (Michele). Kim is also survived my many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins
Funeral services will be held in the Salem United Methodist Church, 349 Shaver Road, West Sand Lake, Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the church Tuesday from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery, West Sand Lake. The family suggests memorial contributions to The Community Hospice, mailed to: The Community Hospice Foundation, 295 Valley View Blvd, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
