It was with sadness that I learned of Ken’s passing. My mother, Delia Stortz, worked with Ken at Tax and Finance for many years. Ken frequently posted in the Mantle Cell Lymphoma facebook page. There are many of us that are alive today I believe because of his advice and encouragement. I pray that God will comfort you with His Holy Spirit. I am very greatful for Ken and will miss his words.

Condolence from Melissa Johnson on August 14th, 2016 5:35 pm

I am so very sorry for your loss. Ken was an active member on a Facebook page devoted for those who have been diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. He was a tremendous support to those on this particular page and was instrumental on providing up to date information on this lymphoma. He helped so many on this page, giving wonderful support to all. He will be sorely missed by all of us who are struggling with this disease. Even though most of us have never met each other face to face, we truly are sort of family. We will truly miss him.

Condolence from Bruce and Drucilla Dickerson on August 14th, 2016 6:04 pm

Thank you for sharing Ken with us. My husband Bruce and I “chatted” with him so much in the beginning of Bruce’s MCL journey. He became our hero and advisor. We are sending comfort and love to all of his family. We won’t ever forget…………….

Condolence from Christy Gibson on August 14th, 2016 8:13 pm

My deepest sympathies to Ken’s family. I only knew Ken from a MCL group on Facebook. I want you to know that he was a wonderful comfort and a true inspiration to many of us in the group. I lost my father in 2013. He was about the same age as Ken. Ken’s presence in the group and his posts helped me feel a little peace. I will miss him.

Condolence from Shelly Miller on August 14th, 2016 9:07 pm

I gained much knowledge from Ken on the mcl sites when I first discovered them. I have always felt he was our cheerleader-being so positive and having a good outlook. He’s such a crusader. I will miss his posts-such a sad day.

Condolence from Kathi on August 23rd, 2016 10:42 pm

i “met” Ken in a Facebook MCL group I had joined when my daddy was diagnosed with the dreadful illness. Ken was always so very helpful and encouraging. He Had such knowledge of the disease and its treatment and he was always so willing to share and encourage. I knew he had relapsed and was praying for his healing. Guess God chose to give Ken a heavenly healing. I like to think he and my dad have finally met and are sitting around sharing stories of their families. my heartfelt prayers go out to Kens family and friends who will deeply miss him. i am so very Sorry!

Condolence from Melissa Kimberly-Carter on August 24th, 2016 8:45 am

Dear Ken’s family,
Although I never met Ken, I felt as though I knew him. Ken was a member of a FB group I joined when my daddy was diagnosed with MCL. Ken was a wealth of knowledge and shared it willingly with me next every other member. Ken was very encouraging to me always. I cried when I read this. I felt sure he would, as my sister said, “be the winner.” In a sense he is. As he is now healed and walking the golden streets with my daddy. Condolences to the entire family. What a brav man he was!
