
ALBANY – Kathleen H. Vreeland, 53, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Peter’s Hospital. She was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Ramon LaHera and Evelyn Lafave LaHera Vreeland. Kathy was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, and was employed as a nursing assistant at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed knitting, and was well known for her hand painted Christmas ornaments that she loved to decorate and give to family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her loving partner, Christopher Euler; her stepfather George Vreeland; her sons Terry Lee Vreeland, Jr. of Rensselaer, and Bradford P. Vreeland (Kelly) of Albany; her sister Arlene LaHera of Port St. Lucie, FL; her brother Ramon LaHera (Nicole) of Albany; and by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 8:15, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany at 9:00. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
