TROY – Joseph J. Maddex, 80, born in Albany, NY, resident of Troy for the past 12 years, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Hudson Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
He was predeceased by his father Joseph S. Maddex, Sr., his mother Mary E. Maddex (Condon) and two brothers John A. Stuber (Florence) and James Maddex (Wanda). He is survived by his children Mark Maddex of Troy, NY, Wendy Wood of Pequabuck, CT, Becky MacPhail of New Brunswick, Canada, Joseph Maddex, Jr of Watervliet, NY, Kim Micolichek of Green Bay, WI, Michele Maddex of Albany, NY, as well as multiple nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Some of Joseph’s favorite pastimes were fishing with his grandsons, taking the kids out to eat and sleepovers. Joseph was very passionate about keeping his neighborhood clean.
We thank the Optum Nurse Practitioner and Hudson Park facility staff for taking care of our dad during his final weeks. Special thanks to the Albany Medical College Anatomical Gift Program.
