Joseph

ALBANY – Joseph Henri St. Onge, 74, succumbed to Covid related complications on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  A graduate of SUNY Albany with a BA in Business, Joe enjoyed a successful career specializing in crude oil commodities for Tenneco, a Fortune 500 company.  If you were lucky enough to know Joe, you knew he was an easy-going, kind man, with a passion for all sports; especially baseball, golf and the horses.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Godfrey Joseph and Fabiola St. Onge; his sisters and their husbands Joan Coyne (Charlie) and Lucille Foster (Bob); and by his brother-in-law Patrick Ravida.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Margaret Ravida St. Onge; his loving daughters Christine St. Onge and Michelle St. Onge Russo; his brother-in-law Anthony J. Ravida of Hollywood, FL; his grandchildren Ava, Nila, and Lillian Russo, and Nicole Multari; and by many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Brenda McKinnon, a dedicated aide, who provided love, laughter and care over the last five years.  Many thanks to Sr. Mary Frederick Coyne for her many visits and spiritual guidance that always provided a needed comfort.

Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110, or at  donate3.cancer.org .  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.

Smiling Joe touched everyone he met. He was someone you could never forget. He had an infectious laugh and a tender heart.
There will be many tears, but make the happy memories overshadow them.

My condolences to the St.Onge family. I would visit Joe w flowers at Christmas and Easter times from All Saints Catholic Church. I also would write hm cards during various holidays, Thanksgiving, Valentines, etc. we would sit and chat a little, so pleasant and always w a smile. We were very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. We know how difficult the last several years were for Joe and all of you. The wonderful pictures reminded us of Joe in his prime, when we first met him, and how we will remember him. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
