John was one in a million whose love of life was contagious. I am very blessed to have known him and will continue to be inspired by his wonderful example. I can still hear him say, “We’re off to see the Wizard!”

We are sad to hear of John’s passing. He was a great friend to my father and a wonderful person. Virginia loved working with him at Sterling. You have our deepest condolences and you will all be in our prayers. We are living in our condo in Naples FL and won’t return until May so we are unable to attend the funeral.

    Our condolences to the family.
John and my father were good friends growing up in Albany and through their lives. I always enjoyed Johns upbeat nature and the occasional harmonica tune.

He was good man and will be missed.

Our father, Bill Leicht, was very close friend with Mr. Caporta. I also knew him very well. I know they are having great talk’s about sports, but mostly how beautiful heaven is and the loving presences of being with Jesus. May His peace be with you at this time of your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with John. We were his next door neighbors for many years on Norwood Street and we couldn’t have wished for anyone better.

He was always very positive and always inquisitive…… about China and asking questions about the different places we had traveled too. He always wanted to learn, wanted to know what other people thought. We will miss him so much.
