I was sorry to read Jean’s obituary today. My family met her many years ago when she worked on the bookmobile & we realized then that we were distant cousins. A couple of years ago, I read that she was at the Beltrone Living Center and stopped by for a lovely visit. My father, William Rettie, had just passed away & I was curious about how our families were related. I know that George is in Utah, but if anyone would like to chat, my email is above. Sincere condolences from me and my family to all.

I am saddened to learn of Jean’s untimely death. I am a college (SUNY-Geneseo) classmate of hers, and used to visit her each summer when I was in town to visit my son in Troy. She was a sweet lady, great fun to be around, and we did a lot together at school as we traveled the path of earning our Library Science degrees. My address is Marianne B. Leavitt, 47 South Mechanic Street, Wyoming, Delaware 19934. (302-697-6055). Jean is now an angel in heaven watching over myself, and fellow librarians!! May God bring you and yours peace.
