In Memorial

DELMAR – Gail L. Gabel Esposito, 81, of Delmar, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  Mrs. Esposito was born in Albany, and lived in the area all her life.  She was employed for a time by the New York State Dept. of Envirnonmental Conservation.  She had a great love for animals, and volunteered for Friends of Animals in their spay and neuter program for over 20 years.  She helped find homes for unwanted pets, and would catch stray animals and bring them into her home.  She was also a New York State Peace Officer for the Saratoga County Animal Welfare League, and would go out on abuse calls.  She also did fundraising for the Friends of Animals at the Altamont Fair to help raise money for the Spay and Neuter Programs for over 20 years.

Mrs. Esposito is survived by her children Wayne T. Esposito of Schenectady, and Diane L. Greenwood (James) of Voorheesville; and her grandchildren Joshua Bevan and Casey Greenwood.

Funeral services were held privately at the convenience of the family.  Interment was in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.

Gail was a very very lovely and sweet lady . Whenever I saw her and visited with her at the Altamont Fair she was always full of love and devotion for the work she did on behalf of the animals . She even looked like an angel to me . I hope to see her again someday , across the Rainbow Bridge , wearing her much deserved angel wings and still doing her special work . I will never forget her . Sincerely , Bev Powers
