
ALBANY – Frank A. Rocco, Sr., 93, of Albany, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Albany. Frank was born in Albany, the son of Joseph Rocco and Rose Costa Rocco. He lived in Albany all his life. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II, was employed by the Fuller Brush Co. for twenty seven years, and then by the Equitable Life Insurance Company until his retirement.
Frank is survived by his children Joseph Rocco (Peggy) of Green Island, Frank Rocco, Jr. (Nancy) of Albany, and Carol Fisher (George) of Mesquite, NV; his daughter in law Deborah Rocco of Albany; his sisters in law Ida Rocco and Gloria Rocco of Albany; his grandchildren Michael (Melissa), Frankie, Larry (Sheri), Jimmy, Brian, and Rita; and by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son James Rocco, and by his siblings Elizabeth Galea, Josephine Gianquitto, Vincent Rocco, Sr., Marie Rocco, George Rocco, Pasquale Rocco, and Vincent “Junior” Rocco.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at the VA Hospital on the 7th floor and on unit 9C for the wonderful care they provided for Frank.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 8:15 a.m., and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS), at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
