
ALBANY – Frances M. Amodeo DiNovo, 97, of Albany, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Peter’s Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. DiNovo was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Amodeo. She was a graduate of the St. Peter’s Nursing School, and was employed as a visiting nurse by the VNA of Albany. She was a communicant of the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church, and a member of the St. Peter’s Hospital School of Nursing Association.
Mrs. DiNovo was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore “Sam” DiNovo. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth DiNovo, Rosemarie Boyle (Steven), Joseph DiNovo (Roberta), Lawrence DiNovo (Maryanne) and Roberta DiFrancesco (Joseph); and by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One of ten children, Mrs. DiNovo was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.
The DiNovo family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of the third floor of St. Peter’s Nursing and Rehab Center for the wonderful care they provided to Mrs. DiNovo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:30 in All Saints Catholic Church (formerly St. Margaret Mary’s Church), Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Friday morning after 9:00. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, 319 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
