Eleanor C. Derusso

ALBANY – Eleanor C. DeRusso, 99, of Albany, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Teresian House.  Eleanor was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Joseph A. DeRusso and Mary L. Cahill DeRusso.  She was employed for thirty years by the Huyck Felt Co. in Rensselaer as a Senior Payroll Clerk. Eleanor enjoyed traveling and trips to New York City theaters.  With her outgoing personality and extensive travel, she had many friends both locally and across the country.

Eleanor is survived by her nieces Joan DeRusso of Albany, and Elaine Van Zandt (Lloyd) of Rensselaer; and by her great nephew Walter Mucha.  She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph J. DeRusso, and Alfred DeRusso.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of 4A at the Teresian House for the wonderful care they provided to Eleanor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 24^th at 9:00 a.m. in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., (behind CVS), Albany.  Relatives and friends are invited.  There will be no calling hours.  Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.  To leave a message of condolence for the family, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
