
GUILDERLAND – Dolores A. Zell, 79, of Guilderland, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Dolores was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Francis Morgan and Mary Elia Morgan. She lived in the area all her life. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy in Albany, and was employed by the New York Telephone Co., and by the Flah’s and Denby’s department stores. She also was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Albany for many years, and sang in the church choir. Dolores enjoyed reading, wintering in Florida, and summering in Cape Cod.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Francis G. Zell; her sons Brian F. Zell (Linda Uhl Zell) of Slingerlands, and Matthew J. Zell (Valerie Baldwin Zell) of New Scotland; her brother Francis Morgan of Colonie; her sister Alice Morgan of Albany; her brother in law Vincent Liuzzi of Boca Raton, FL; her grandchildren Brianna, Morgan, Matthew Jr., and Fallon; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Morgan and her sister Joan T. Liuzzi.
Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 9:30, and from there to Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Ave., Albany at 10:30. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd, Albany, NY 12211.
