Bernice E. Bergeron

GUILDERLAND – Bernice E. Hauser Bergeron, 83, of Guilderland, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Albany Medical Center.  Bernice was born in Albany, and lived in the area all her life.  She was employed by Albany Medical Center, and also was a communicant of the former St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Albany, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.  She also enjoyed playing bingo.

Bernice was predeceased by her husband Robert Bergeron.  She is survived by her children Robert Bergeron, Jr. of Guilderand, Lynn Preville (William, Sr.) of Rotterdam, Nancy Steiner (Jamie) of Colonie, Bruce Bergeron and Wayne Bergeron of Guilderland, and Bernadette Lounsbury (Paul) of Berne; her brother Victor Hauser (Judy) of Colonie; her sister in law Bernice Hauser of Guilderland; her grandchildren Jeromey Vojnar, Nicole Preville, William Preville, Jr., Sarah Steiner, Evan Bergeron, Connor Bergeron, and Paul Lounsbury, Jr.; her great grandchild Arik Vojnar; and by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son Mark Bergeron; her brothers Arthur and Charles Hauser; and her sisters Dorothy Palmer and Florence Barcomb.

Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 10:00.  Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.  Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 155 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12210.  To leave a message of condolence for the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.HansFuneralHome.com.
