
ALBANY – Arthur V. Lucarelli, 90, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Teresian House. Art was born in Schenectady where he lived until moving to Albany in 1962. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of the former Pat Aiezza Post #1181. He was employed by General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 36 years, and was partnered in the ownership of three harness racing horses that raced in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Art enjoyed golf, bowling, and bocci. He was a member of and former officer of the Italian American Community Center (IACC) in Albany, a member of the Albany Elks Lodge #49, and a great fan of the Yankees and of Siena Basketball, having season tickets for over thirty years. He also volunteered at the convention center, and was volunteer of the year in 1997.
Art was predeceased by his beloved wife Gloria A. Tricomi Lucarelli; by his brothers and their wives Louis (Margaret), John (Eva), Albert (Yolanda), and Frank (Barbara) Lucarelli; his sister and her husband Helen (Mario) Gizzi; and by his sister-in-law Teresa Tricomi. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany (behind CVS) at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24th. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hans Funeral Home, Albany.
