
ALBANY – Angeline DeFlorio, 91, of Albany, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center. Angie was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Domenica Carpineta DiFlorio. She was employed for a time by B. Lodge & Co., and by the F.W. Woolworth Company before joining the VA Hospital in Albany on its opening day and where she was employed for over thirty years before retiring. Angie enjoyed travel, reading, drives in the country and antiquing with her sister, and evenings out for dinner and a play with her niece.
Angie is survived by her sisters, Philomena Russo of Albany and Anna DeFlorio of Albany; and by several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine Graziano and Julia DeFlorio, and by her brothers Dominick and Francis DiFlorio.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 9:00am in All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited. There will be no calling hours.
