
GUILDERLAND – Adrianne C. “Connie” Stott, 82, of Guilderland, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, in the very same home where she was raised, the daughter of the late Harold K. Acker and Florence M. Johnston Acker. Connie was a graduate of the Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and she spent the majority of her nursing career working at Albany Memorial Hospital. She lived in a variety of locations around the country during her husband’s career in the U.S. Navy, and returned to Guilderland in 1981. She was an avid Girl Scout. She was also active in the Boy Scouts and 4-H. She was a member of the McKownville United Methodist Church, and served as the secretary to the Sunday school. She was also loved as an extraordinary grandmother, not just to her own grandchildren, but to others as well.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband George H. Stott; her children Harold D. Stott (Carolyn), James A. Stott (Angela), and Patricia M. Stott, all of Guilderland, and Amy Beth DeVall (Chris) of Colonie; her siblings Christina Catalfamo (Lee) of Burden Lake, Florence M. Finks (David) of Berne, and Deborah Acker Cole of Guilderland; her grandchildren Luke, Taylor and Kenneth Stott, Arthur and Dakota Stott, and Stephanie, Adrianna, and Patrick DeVall; her sister-in-law Dorothy Acker of Ft. Worth, TX; and by many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Arthur Acker.
Funeral services will be held in McKownville United Methodist Church, 1565 Western Ave, Guilderland, on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Guilderland Food Pantry, 4 Charles Blvd, Guilderland, NY 12084; or to the Memorial Fund, McKownville United Methodist Church, 1565 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Connie was inspiration to me in many ways I can remember talking to her and George about being a nurse she inspired me to make my dreams come true. I am so sorry I am not able to be there with you as I had eye surgery last Thursday and live so far away. I pray for you all for the next few days will be very hard but always remember she will be with you in your heart forever and she will be looking out for you each and every day. Sorry for your loss never easy going though loss of mother father or even children. Just have to remember the good memories. Just know I’m thinking about what the family going though.
